I think he is bowling at the right line and length. And he is effective in getting important wickets.

At present he got 6 wickets (just one wicket sort of becoming the highest wicket taker of IPL) at present

The wickets he got so far are impressive

vs Punjab

JR Hopes c Joginder Sharma b Amarnath

vs Mumbai

SM Pollock b Amarnath

vs Kolkata

DJ Hussey c Badrinath b Amarnath

vs Kolkata

Mohammad Hafeez c Sharma b Amarnath

and Today he is the Turning point of the Match

vs Bangalore

W Jaffer c Oram b Amarnath (50 runs in 33 balls)

vs Bangalore

LRPL Taylor c Raina b Amarnath(53 runs in 34 balls)

All the 6 wickets are very important and of classy International players.

What do you say?

  1. I think Manpreet Gony will be in Indian Team (ODI) instead!

  2. i will say that the indian board of cricket need to experiment with these sort of player also my pick so far is the gutsy and very well talented abhishek nayar what a man and what courage.

  3. Dont think even bangladesh or zimbawe will take him into their team.

  4. He is no where close to international cricket. he isn't a great fielder or a good batsman either.

if he improve on 2 things he could get a call in another year or 2 if he performs consistently

  5. He is presently playing for Tamil Nadu Ranji Trophy.  Since there are so many youngsters around for selection in the national team, I do not think he will get a chance to play for India in the near future.

  6. He may be lucky enough to get wickets and if one looks at all

the dismissals you can say what kind of a bowler he is. Sorry

to say he has chance, but may be against weaker opponents

such as Zim or BD and that is all he can expect. We have too

many such bowlers who are awful fielders and batsman. India

cannot afford to have such bowlers - unless they have genuine

140+ pace and have the line, length and control.

Looking from the lot, I would say - Manpreet Gony has a

    better chance than anyone else.
