IPL auction 2011, Lara to play
Brain Charles Lara, the former West Indian captain, who retired from the international cricket four years ago, is all set to make a comeback to competitive level cricket. Lara will be auctioned in the next year’s Indian Premier League.
Since 2007, the master batsman hasn’t played active cricket. Adding to this, he led his side in the last ICC World Cup 2007 in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760, where the hosts failed to make it to the semi finals. Lara played his last international match against England in
the same World Cup.
However, he is one of the 21 players to be named for the highest reserve price of 400,000 dollars. The West Indian great has already shown his will to play at the IPL, though he wanted to be involved in the coaching staff of an IPL franchise.
The auction is going to be held in Bangalore in January 8 and 9. Apart from Lara, there are several other players in the same league, and the list includes, the former Australian wicketkeeper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Anil-Kumble-c44737 and
Yuvraj Singh.
Moreover, some of current English players are in the same bracket and the list features, first timers like Stuart Broad, James Anderson, the off-spinner Graeme Swann, Michael Yardy and Luke Wright. All these players were a part of England’s 2010 ICC World
T20 triumphant side.
The Kings XI http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Punjab-c833 released three of its top-notch international players, Mahela Jayawardene, and the duo of Australians, Shaun Marsh and Brett Lee. The trio are now available for the auction at Bangalore, and will claim the highest price in the League.
The top bracket also includes high profile names such as, Daniel Vettori, Brendon McCullum, Ross http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Taylor-c92915, Graeme Smith, AB deVilliers, Tillkaratne Dilshan and Chris Gayle.

by IPL.
Cricket greats like, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Muttiah-Muralitharan-c78157 and Jacques Kallis, who have been one of the top players at IPL, were added in the $300,000 bracket. In between, Shaun Tait, Zaheer Khan, Kumar Sangakkara, Angelo Mathews and Andrew Symonds, find themselves in the
same list of players.
Surprisingly, Sourav Ganguly, the former Indian captain, who has been the leader of the Kolkata Nightriders in the first three editions, has been elevated to the third category of players in the bracket of 200,000 dollars. Adding to the list are star players
such as, Sanath Jayasuria, Doug Bollinger and Michael Hussey.
The lowest band of players whose base price is 100,000 dollars includes international players like http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Morne-Morkel-c77722 and Ben Hilfenhaus.
