When Indian Cricket Team Lost to Bangladesh in World Cup 2007, To improve the state of cricket & cricketers in the country, Zee owner Subash Chandra Came up with an Idea of Opening A cricket League ICL. But it was not given assurance by BCCI.. and BCCI also made it clear that anyone who joins ICL will not come back in any BCCI event..

After this , BCCI's Lalit Modi Started his own league to give competition to ICL..
