IPL matches.?

Question

While the IPL matches introduces new new players and creates good opportunities for them,

I feel the thrill of the old format like matches between two countries is missing. The spectator is not able to identity with one group, the team is

a mixture of culture, countries. The players too dont get the feeling of playing for his country . Of course match fixing wont be there anymore what is your opinion?

I think playing for your country is great for sure but when you play cricket or any other game.You play it to win and not just for money.Everybody wants to be in the winnings side.I don't think that their is any lacking of interest in these games

nice question dude... when u consider the IPL matches, it is not only the mixture of countries or culture... it is just a gateway for the Young India players to expose themselves to the international players.... for example now pointing is playing for KNR here he will give some tips to bowl to the co-Australian players playing in the opposition team and it happened too....

I agree with you that the competitive spirit generated when playing against another country is missing in the IPL tournament.

I think the greatest advantage the IPL has offered is an opportunity of home talents who were earlier completely neglected and the selection of National Team for Test/ODI/T20 will be easier now and it will remain crystal clear before the nation. I also believe our players will benefit through interaction with the foreign players of almost all the great cricketing countries. In the UK they play County Matches in which many great players of almost all the countries participate. In this practice , the locals as well as the international players do benefit from exposure and interaction. We, as a nation, are not going to lose anything------except that we shall gain a lot.

yea u r absolutely right ....i have completely lost the touch and fun of that 50-50 format...
