IPL5: Delhi Daredevils vs Kolkata Knight Riders - Daredevils will not be taken lightly says KKR coach Trevor Bayliss – Cricket News Update
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780 Daredevils will not be taken lightly despite the later missing some big names for the clash at Eden Gardens on Thursday, April 5, 2012.
Bayliss believes that Daredevils are a good enough side to uproot any opposition on any given day. For the very reason Bayliss has warned his side against complacency as he wants KKR to start their tournament by winning their opening
fixture.
He said, “We don't want to take them easy because they don't have few players. We might get a nasty surprise. They are still a very good side and more than capable. It's important to get a good start so we go into the rest of the
tournament with confidence. Any team can win on any day in this format.”
Delhi’s options of playing overseas players are quite limited at the moment. The Daredevils will be missing the services of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754) as the batsman has broken his arm. Other key players, who may not be available
for the initial phase of the tournament, include http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KP-Pietersen-c1806, both of whom are meeting international commitments at the moment.
Despite the depleted side, Delhi still has a reasonable bowling attack and according to Bayliss, the final battle will be between KKR’s batting and Daredevils bowling.
He said, “We have got good batters. I think it will be an even game, a good spectacle for the Kolkata fans. We are expecting a close battle.”
