IPL5: Johan Botha says Rajasthan Royals are not complacent – Cricket News Update
Despite getting off to a victorious start in the ongoing season five of the esteemed Indian Premier League, the Rajasthan Royals are far from being complacent said http://www.senore.com/Cricket/J-Botha-c1610, the South African spin bowler who is representing the RR in the latest edition
of the Twenty20 league.
The Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty-owned IPL franchise, the Rajasthan Royals has convincingly won both of their IPL matches so far. After winning their tournament opener against the Kings XI http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rajasthan-c837 toppled the King Khan’s Kolkata Knight
Riders by 22 runs on Sunday, and are currently enjoying their position at the top of the IPL5 points table.
But Botha said that this is a long tournament and they are well aware of the challenges awaiting them in the next six weeks.
"The key is to keep preparing well and not take the foot off the pedal,” said Johan Botha while speaking to media reporters ahead of his side’s match against the Mumbai Indians, at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday.
“We know we have to win 10-11 games for the playoffs and we have won two. So it is a long way where we want to be," he added further.
The Rajasthan Royals’ all-rounder Johan Botha lavished praise on Rahul Dravid’s calm captaincy.
"http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rahul-c83321 is a bit calmer than Warnie, [who] is a bit more out there and tries probably a lot more things on the field,” said the 29-year-old Transvaal all-rounder. “But I think Rahul is good for young players. He is nice and calm on
the field and that rubs off on all the other guys," he added.
Shilpa Shetty’s Royals have played both of their opening games at home and today’s match against last year’s runners up will be their maiden away fixture this season.
The buoyant Rajasthan Royals also hold an encouraging record against the home team, as they have won four of seven matches that have been played between the two outfits since the inaugural IPL edition in 2008. The head to head record gives the tourists a
psychological edge over Harbhajan’s men.
A victory for the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 Indians will propel to the top of the points table, replacing their visitors.
