IPL5: Kolkata Knight Riders thumps Kings XI Punjab – Cricket News Update

He said, “We have a quality side and today we played to our potential. We have played an extra game compared to other teams so we need to keep winning.”
Gambhir had plenty of praise for his bowlers, who once again outshined the batsmen. The skipper of KKR put special emphasis on Rajat Bhatia and held that the player of the match award should have been awarded to him for the way
he bowled in the game.
He said, “I think the bowling today was the high point. We have five quality bowlers in our line up. The way Lee, Kallis and Rajat bowled was brilliant. I honestly believe my man of the match is http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rajat-Bhatia-c83456 for the way he bowled
today.”
The injury sustained by Kings XI Punjab skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adam-Gilchrist-c918, also played a key role in the outcome of the match. Gilchrist, who won the toss and decided to bat, was at his optimum best in the game. The explosive left-hander
had scored 40 runs from 30 deliveries before he pulled his hamstring while taking a quick single in sixth over and was retired hurt.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Punjab-c833 was going along nicely at that stage with 44 runs from 5.5 overs but they lost the momentum afterwards. Though, Gilly returned to bat near the death but he failed to get enough strike as Punjab’s innings came to a close
at 124.
The former Australian at match presentation said, “My injury disturbed the momentum of the innings and took my batting out of the equation for a bit. It was a nice wicket but their bowlers bowled some tight line and restricted
us well.”
