Pollard, who has been an indispensable unit for Mumbai Indians in the ongoing season of IPL, remains a doubter for the clash as the 24-year-old is still recovering from the shoulder injury that he picked on April 27th
during a match against the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780 Daredevils.
While talking to media at the pre-match press conference, Pollock said, “Pollard has put himself through the paces in the nets (today). You cannot rush shoulder injuries. We will see how he feels tomorrow. We will be as patient
as we can, he knows the best.”
MI has done well in Pollard’s absence winning all of their three matches. Their latest win came over the reigning champions, Chennai Super Kings.
CSK set a daunting target for MI to win the match. Mumbai’s batsmen, who were below power in the previous games, saw a reversal in fortune and secured two crucial points for the franchise.
Pollock was delighted with the way his side batted in the game. The former South African captain said, “It was important that we bounced back and ended up on the winning side. We have won the last four games against them (CSK)
and we are happy with our performance. It's nice to see our batting unit click in the last game. And we can use this as a foundation going forward.”
The pacer said that it would have been a big blow for Mumbai Indians, had they lost the match from the dominating position.
Mumbai Indians, the franchise owned by Reliance Group, are comfortably placed at third spot on the points table, with seven wins from 11 games. They are poised for a place in the final four, as they require three wins from five
games to make it into the play-offs.
