The Master Blaster, Sachin Tendulkar, is all set to make his return for Mumbai Indians in the upcoming match against Kings XI Punjab – which will be played on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Wankhede Stadium.
The iconic batsman has fully recovered from the finger injury, which sidelined the 38-year-old from participating in Mumbai's last four fixtures.

The head coach also dismissed the rumours that Sachin’s injury has gotten worse after he got hit on the same finger during the batting session. Singh claims that there was nothing serious with Sachin.
He said, “He (Sachin Tendulkar) is fine to play and is playing tomorrow. He just got a small hit on the finger. He's playing tomorrow.”

Mumbai Indians' batting has not been clicking in this tournament and Singh was not impressed with the show his batsmen have put up so far in the event.
He said, “We have not batted as well as we can. It's not just about the openers. We have 20 overs to bat and we have a deep batting line up. Openers will play shots, that's the format of the game.”
Sachin’s return will certainly strengthen MI's line-up. However, Singh wants other players to step-up as well and take some responsibility, as they cannot rely on one man only.
“We certainly have to step up when it comes to batting. Everyone is very much aware of that. It will appear a high-risk game to most players. It depends on how we execute and not just about one guy,” said Singh.
