IPL5: Shakib Al Hasan hopes to shine with the bat – Cricket News Update

The 25-year-old is working hard on his batting and is confident that runs will start to flow through his blade.
Determined to end the run drought in IPL5, Hasan said, “From the three matches I played, I was man-of-the-match once. I've done well as a bowler. I'm now focussing on my batting. By the God's grace, I hope to do well as a batsman.”
Hasan has made an impact with the ball in the three matches that he has so far played for KKR. The left-arm spinner has notched six wickets at an average of 10.66 and has also been able to keep a check at the scoring rate by conceding
only 5.81 runs an over.

However, despite the lacklustre batting performance, Hasan is certain that his side will reach the play-offs.
The 25-year-old, who was named Player of the Tournament in the Asia Cup said, “The team atmosphere is just perfect. We are improving match by match. We are looking to be more consistent. We are taking one match at a time. Our first
aim is to make it to the last four. Then we will focus on winning the title. But I'm sure we will do better than last year.”
