IPL5: Virender Sehwag’s blitz earns Delhi Daredevils the top spot – Cricket News Update

http://www.senore.com/Cricket/V-Sehwag-c2739, skipper Daredevils, blasted his side to an eight-wicket win over the hosts. The hard-hitting batsman, commonly known as 'Viru' amongst his team mates, slashed ten 4’s and three 6’s, as Delhi chased down a target
of 147 in 16 overs.
Sehwag was bestowed with the Man of the Match honours and the 48-ball 87 vindicates the decision. However, the soft spoken cricketer was modest and accredited the win to Delhi Daredevils' bowlers, who were able to put a leash upon

At the post match presentation, Sehwag said, “It is all because of my bowlers who restricted Pune to a chase able score and after that it became very easy for the batsmen. I think Pune recovered well but 140-150 is chase able on
this track. You just need to apply yourself and hit the gaps.”
Delhi Daredevils have once again attained the top spot on IPL5 points table, with the eight-wicket win over Pune.
Sehwag was happy to reach the summit. He said, “It is good to be on top of the table.”
The Delhi based franchise has also avenged the defeat that they earlier suffered at the hands of Pune, on Saturday, April 21, 2012.
Ganguly was not impressed with the show put-up by his batsmen. The Prince of Calcutta felt that his side was short of runs and should have posted a competitive total on board for bowlers to defend, considering Warriors had eight
wickets in hand when their quota of 20 overs exhausted.
He said, “We lost a couple of wickets early and we probably didn't get enough runs. We still had 8 wickets in hand at the end and we should have got to 180-190. We will have to find ways of scoring even if we lose wickets.”
Pune will now host the struggling Deccan Chargers on Thursday, April 26. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 Indians on Friday, April 27.
