IPOD Classic Alarm doesn't work?

Question

I have an 80GB Ipod Classic and whenever I set the alarm it doesn't work, I choose recently played but it does nothing.

When I go to turn on my ipod, that's when the actual alarm goes off but it beeps instead of the setting I chose.

Well what's the point in it going off if it happens when I turn it on and im already awake?

It's never done this before.

this is a misunderstanding the iPod's internal speaker isn't capable of playing music so it clicks or BEEPS only. if you have your headphones in or it connected to a sound dock then the sounds will come out of that!
