I'm trying to figure out if you can save the music you have on your IPOD to your PC?

I was given an IPOD with music already downloaded to it. Can I save that music in my PC or transfer.

Can I add more music without having to delete the one downloaded on there?

AND HOW PLEASE.

    ;A;

    so many times i have cursed and tried to put music from one ipod to the computer. they must block it or something maybe? atleast when i still had one. that was about 2 years ago. maybe they have changed?

    -really doubt it though dude-

  2. Apple don't like you doing this so they have made it tricky and you can't do it in itunes.

    If you just copy the music across, the tracks won't be named, so this is no good.

    There is now a lot of free software available to do this process.  I had one a while ago but can't remember the name... if you search for it, i'm sure you will find something.  This is not a recommendation, but after a quick search i found this...  http://www.ipod2computer.com/

    To answer your second question, to add more music you have to turn off the auto-sync option in the itunes settings.  This way itunes will not automatically wipe everything on your ipod.  You will now have to manually drag and drop any new music on to you ipod in itunes with this option set.

  3. Yup... you must have iTune software on your pc... you can sync it and create folders on it.

    Enjoy!
