IPOD help .... For some reason it's not lettin me access it??

Ok soo My dad's girlfriend has an ipod & she asked me if I could charge it & put some music on there for her ... but like It will act like it's going to charge then it clicks off as if I disconnected it but I didn't but it still shows up on the computer :S && like when I try to look at her music it's like I cannot click it or anything & it doesn't allow me to add song either ... Preveously her daughter put the ipod together with the songs & stuff & Im thinkin that she might have put a code in it because she was jelouse that her mom got an ipod & she didn't ... I need help really bad ... can some one tell me plz what's wrong with her ipod ..???

What model?

Are you just charging it through the USB port?  If you have an external charger see if it helps.  Sounds like the battery may be on it's last legs.
