My computer recently died, along with my itunes. I'm wondering how i can add songs without having to delete the songs already on my Ipod. There's another computer in the house but last time i tried plugging my ipod into an Itunes on another computer, it just deleted all my songs and added the ones on that computer's Itunes.

How can I add songs but keep my old ones with a different computer?

  1. You will have to download all your songs from your iPod to the other computer first. For this you will have to use third party software, I know one that is freeware is called YamiPod.

If you synchronize your iPod to another computer before you download your music to the computer you will loose all your music.

  2. Once your iPod has Synced with an iTunes, it can only sync with that same one from the same account or computer, so you'd have to re-add all your songs back onto iTunes.

  3. ok. here's what u do

    there are 2 ways

    1st.

Did u already Check MANUALLY MANAGE MUSIC N VIDEOS?

If so then you don't have to sync it. just drag music and/or video to ipod

If NOT then do the 2nd step

    2nd.

    DOWNLOAD isynctunes from download(dot)com

NOTE: Need to have iTunes Install first

    install isynctunes. and launch isynctunes

now connect your ipod to your computer

It should ask do you want to sync ur ipod, select no.

then look in isynctunes. your ipod should appear in left panel.

now Click on a file, select ADD TO ITUNES or IMPORT.

now u're done. everything is in your itunes, now you can sync your ipod, then add everything back :)

  4. I agree with Dustin. All you have to do is manually manage your music in the iPod settings which you can access through your computer on itunes. To get all the music. And other people are saying stuff about getting songs off your iPod. To do that you don't need software. Go to my computer. Click on your iPod icon. Change the settings in the menu to where you can see hidden folders. Click on Ipod control/music. All the songs are scattered in those folders because apple doesn't want you to be able to do this. Hit search at the top and it brings them all up. Drag them into a folder on your desktop and then drag them into itunes.

  5. you will need to have a 3rd party tool to help you copy songs in your ipod to computer as itunes blocks the ipod-to-computer transfer, here is a review of top 5 ipod  copying softwares(windows/mac): http://www.ipodtocomputer.net

  6. There are apps for PC and Mac that recover your songs off of your iPod.

I would say to google them.
