Question:

IPhone 3G, who's got one?

Hi, i'm thinking of getting the new iphone but i need some questions answering! First of all i was going to get the samsung tocco but i have changed my mind to the new iphone. The reason i changed my mind was because i know that the tocco has a better camera than the iphone but im not really bothered about that.

Would i be able to connect to the interenet with my router and would i be charged for doing this?

What is the cheapest contract? (i'm only 17 and can't afford an expensive contract)

Is the 8gb one good enough or will i need the 16gb? i will be using it for my music, wont really be using it for videos and will be using it for the internet.

Is it worth waiting until it comes out on pay as you go?

would i be able to connect to my router for free if i was on pay as you go?

any advise/recommendations?

thanks! :D

  2. not me

  3. Yes you would be able to connect to your router as long as its wireless. Generally for most people 8GB is plenty especially as you've said you'll use it mainly for music not video. It should give you approximately 2000 tracks at 4MB per track, some will be more some less on average. The camera is 2MP but to be fair, it's enough if you're only going to put them onto your PC or just keep them on your phone, you only really need a higher MP if you're going to start blowing up your pics or editing them. As for tariffs, well at the minute you can either get it on a £35/month contract and pay £99 for the handset(600mins/500texts) or take out the £45 for a free handset (1200mins/500texts) then drop it to a £35/month after 9 months which actually saves you a tenner on the handset. I'm pretty sure if you're wanting to hold out for the PAYG option you'll still be able to use it on any free WiFi network, including your own as you're not actually connecting to the O2 mobile network. If you need anymore info let me know and I'll try sort you out. Sorry if this went on a little but it's the only way to get it all in

  4. i was just about to ask this

  5. yes you can through wifi can't plug it in should be no charge on contract cheapest is £30 p/m 75mins or £35 p/m 600 mins 8gb £99 16gb £159 if you wait till you payg might be expensive look at o2 website for better details.

  6. First of all,O2 wont take you on contract as you are 17. Need to be 18,with a bank account and be prepared for a credit check. Wait till end of year and buy a pay as you go.
