So, I've decided to buy an iPhone 3G this December, on o2 as Pay as you Go. So after they activate my phone? Can they [maybe apple or o2 store] also unlock it so I can use it to other network like 3 or whatever? And if ever it is unlock will I be able to take it to other country like Philippines, will my minor e.g SMS, CALL and major e.g SAFARI, YOUTUBE phone features still work? [Note: Philippines has released iPhone 3G and heard that its the same in the UK with its wireless routes and other thingys by Globe Sim] So will my iPhone 3G still work in the Philippines? Do I need to sign up a contract in the Philippines? they've got this plan like some kind of monthly tariff [http://www.iphone3g.globe.com.ph/i/i?id=2256650] Do i need this to be able to access to my safari and itunes app? OR if activated by o2, will my iPhone forever stick to o2 network and will have less possibilty of unlocking it?

Just want to clear things up . :x Thanks :)

  1. You can buy one (illegitimatly) online that is unlocked to all networks and apparently you can use all features, but you need to have internet bolt on/add on/etc.
