IPhone 3G used in other countries?

Can I buy an iPhone 3G at a apple store IN THE U.S and use it in Mexico on Telcel (They sell iPhones there but their really expensive to buy in Mexico) without having to unlock it?

Pues mira, aquí en Honduras hasta hace poco lo trae legalmente Claro, antes lo traigan los de tigo y te lo desbloqueaban y funcionaba bien siempre y cuando no lo actualizaras o le instalar aplicaciones a través de iTunes.

Lo mejor seria que preguntes en Tecel si puedes usar un iPhone comprado en USA.
