IPhone help !!! please read?

i live in dubai and the iphone 3g hasnt released here. is it cheaper to get and an unlocked one here which comes for $1000 or get a relative to buy it in Us and post it through DHL, that costs $ 400 or just wait for it to release here but it wont soon (because of anti monopoly laws, something abt apple and at&t)

best way to do it is to buy it in the us and unlock it yourself by just simply downloading the program and unlocking it and jailbreaking if you want it is way easier and cheaper.

My friend who's living there, in Dubai, said that it's cheaper to buy in Dubai than in the US. You should wait until it's released.

IT WOULD BE MORE EXPENSIVE TO BUY FROM US - this is because the phone has to be bought with a contract, and with the contract, the phone costs over US$2000
