Question:

IPhone not charging at all?

I've got my iphone plugged into a mac computer (I've tried it through a laptop and wall). The computer is reading it ok as it's asked me if I want to update and it has allowed a sync. But it is showing me the red low battery and it is not starting to charge as usual. Usually it kicked in after a couple of minutes changing the red stripe onto a green one and it would begin charging. Does this mean that the battery is dead? The phone came out of a box 3-4 months ago.

  1. My wife's iphone had the same problem.  You need to power it off and back on.

    Power Down, Power Up:

    - Press and hold the sleep/wake, on/off button on the top of the iPhone for several seconds.

    - The screen will change and the top will display a button 'Slide to power off'. Slide the power off button from left to right,

    - To turn your phone back on, press the same on/off button on the top of the phone for a few seconds, and it will start up again.

Once it comes back on it should show the actual battery status.

  2. if your using the white dock thingy that the iphone comes with, remore it and plug the iphone usb direct to the iphone and pc/mac.

mine packed in after only a few weeks but the cable is fine and charges ok.
