Have an jailkbroken 16gb old version American iphone with a Tim simcard, and i had a 1.1.4 firmware running and when the 2.0 firmware came out stupidly i decided to attempt an update to the 2.0 firmware via iTunes, so as soon as i started the process iTunes put it in Recovery mode and soon after that it gave me an error message that there was an error...

Im now stuck with an iPhone in recovery mode, and i tried pretty much everything such as setting it to Dfu mode and restoring it to all firmwares from 1.0.2 till 1.1.4 but iTunes persistently gives me different error messages such *** (1) (6) (1604) (18)

Anyone please give me a solution to this dilemma since im stuck with a S****y old Nokia and i payed about 500 euro for that iPhone, and please send me an email or add me on msn gianninid@hotmail.com

for help... or just give me your mail

  1. i think that since it is jailbroken you can't take it to the genius bar (apple store) for their diagnosis.  so that means that you might be SOL.  you may be able to send it to one of the ipod repair websites (mail-in) and they may be able to get it to function again.
