I currently have an 8G iPhone and I am happy with it - don't get me wrong but I just cannot text like I used to be able to!

So I was wondering has anyone had both?

Which one do you prefer?

What are the major pros and cons of both??

Thanks - anything helps guys :)

  1. I prefer the Curve because of the keyboard. If you do alot of texting or emailing, the touch screen of the IPhone will not do. It is good for looks and some txt's, but not heavy use... IPhone's only benefit is the music and the larger screen.

I chose Curve because of the push email, the battery life (Iphone's battery doesnt last more than 6 hrs of heavy use), the wifi and the memory card (which makes Curve a mp3 player too).

  2. I personally don't like iphones, touchscreens bug the heck out of me (I have a couple of friends with iphones, and I can't send a text message on them to save my life). Technologically speaking, it's an impressive device, and I love apple's products (Mac user here), but the iphone just doesn't work for me.

I recently bought a Blackberry Curve 8330, and I love it. I like the fact that it has real buttons, the scroll ball works really well (I find the iphone to be difficult to navigate with, but hey, maybe it just takes practice?), and it's easier service wise and whatnot (no updates, etc. etc.).

One positive thing about the iphone is the fact that it's nearly impossible to do any real scratch damage to it, however a Blackberry's screen is really easy to scratch (you can buy replacement screens, but who wants the trouble?). So for me, being the klutz that I am, the iphone seems a bit more sturdy. But I've got my Blackberry all fit in a rubber casing with a screen protector film on it, so I think I'll be just fine, at least I hope so :)
