IPod???????, HELP?????????

Question

I bought an iPod classic today. I tried to put some mp3s from my computer on.... However it did not work...... I already wounder can i actually put "normal mp3s" on the iPod or do i need to buy these "iTunes". If yes how???????

The people from apple did not even give me instructions!

Please help me!

you must USE itunes.

with itunes open drag the MP3 files onto the library Icon (make sure in pref you have itunes set to 'manage my music' AND ' copy music for itunes music folder').

it will then add the music to the itunes library to be able to sync to the ipod.

You can add any MP3 to the itunes not just ones form itunes you can also import music form CD's using itunes..

also when the ipod is connected to the computer it must be registered and paired otherwise you cant do anything with the ipod.

when its connected the ipod will appear in itunes... click on it then its settings will appear which then allows you to chose what to put on it.

this is explained in itunes under the Help menu.

Put the songs in iTunes, then transfer them from your iTunes to your device. Now when an iPod is new, on the very first page that comes up after you plug it in, there's a check box menu, from there, make sure you check manually manage your songs, thats if you want to be in control of whats on the pod.

DRAG THE SONGS FROM THE FOLDER THAT THEY ARE IN AND DROP THEM IN ITUNES. IF THE SONGS ARE ON WINDOWS MEDIA, ITUNES MIGHT NOT TAKE THEM, IN THAT CASE, GET LIMEWIRE, DOWNLOAD YOUR SONGS, WHEN THEY ARE COMPLETE, DRAG AND DROP THEM IN YOUR ITUNES. THEN FROM THERE, DRAG AND DROP IT ON THE FIELD ON THE LEFT THAT SAYS MUSIC (UNDERNEATH YOU IPOD NAME).

Basically, theres an option on the menu  bar which states sync all songs to library. The reason ures hasn't worked os because it hasnt  been saved into ure itunes library,
