My iPod nano G3 is openign up where the headphone hole and the back goes together. It's supposed to be tight but that side is opening up slighty. So when i pinch it really hard, you can feel it going together but it won't stay like that. Plus, there's something in the screen ( the black part on the outline of it) that's nto supopsed to be there. It wasn't there when i got it. I still have my one year warantee on it. Do you think I can bring it in one of hte Apple Stores and have it fixed/replaced? Does the iPod HAVE to be bought at an Apple store for that to happen? Becuase I think my mom bought it at FUture Shop or BEst Buy! COuld any Apple Sotre workers or people in general help me PLEASE?!

Thanks!

  1. any apple store will help you out. it's the manufacturer why wouldn't they? the same exact thing is happening to my  iPod mini, and i pulled it off and pressed it back on.. now it's fine.

    good luck!

(If you can back up your songs by using iDump.)

  2. Even if your mom got it at best buy they can replace it. I have one from best but with a warranty and they can have it fixed and if it's bad enough they might even give you a new one.

  3. if its still under warranty then yeah it should be replaced (they never fix it when its something like that). i dont think that the shop it was bought from will help you. i would go to the apple store. good luck!

  4. my family and i own  ALOT of apple products, and once my macbook wasn't working and we brought it to the apple store and they literally fixed  it in like 2 seconds. We've had to bring so many products there! I would bring it, sometimes they supply you with a new free one if its screwed up enough.Don't try to fix it yourself, And whatever you do, DONT DROP IT!!! Handle it with care until you bring it to the apple store. Hope this helps!

  5. if you still have a warranty trade it for a new one

  6. Alright as long as you DIDN'T DROP IT HARD, or wash it or anything, you should be able to take it into the apple store and explain what happened. as far as i know, any apple product will be fixed by apple headquarters, but you do have to mail it in. when you go to the apple store, take the ipod, and explain to the guy behind the desk what's going on. he may be able to help you himself or get someone else to help you. They will give you the information you need to mail in your ipod, and possibly even package it for you. BE SURE TO TELL THEM THAT YOUR IPOD IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. TAKE THE RECIEPT.

  7. the same exact thing happend w/ my headphones, i just bought a new pair. i got mine from target and they have a pretty large collection of diff kinds. not sure whats wrong with your screen though...sorry. try bringin it to an apple store [if there is one?] to get it checked out.

  8. Don't try to fix it by yourself, it will just make it worse. If there is something black in the screen, it's probably the crystal inside it bleeding. If you still have your warranty, ship it back to the apple company, and they should replace it for you. You don't actually have to go to a store, just check online for the apple policy and address, and I'm sure you'll find all the information you need.

    Hope I helped!!!

  10. I wouldn't try fixing it myself. Get it serviced and even if you have to pay, you'll avoid risking permanently breaking it

    hope it gets fixed ok--x

  11. Before you bring it to the store call you the number you have gotten for your warranty or the Apple customer service number and find out what your warranty service exactly covers. You know companies and their fine print, you're never too sure what they'll cover and what not.

  12. Well i only have an ipod shuffle but just buy a new one :]

  13. I have an ipod nano and that hasnt happend to mine and ive it for more lots of months now well since last christmas and it hasnt happend to mine have u dropped it ?, i think u should take it to the apple store they will help (:

  15. You broke it. When you banged it against your desk, you broke it. It took a little while for the damages to develop, but they were present right after it happened. You should be able to get the casing fixed, but the screen might count as a cosmetic problem, and warranties don't cover that.
