IPod Help :O - URGENT?

so, i plugged in my iPod and it asked if i wanted to 'erase and sync' so i did, 'cause that was what i wanted to do, but it didn't work :O and now whenever i plug it in iTunes doesnt even recognise my iPod. its pretty urgent cause im flying in about two hours xD please help (:

If you have recently updated to a higher version of iTunes and haven't restarted your computer, do that first and try again after that. If it still isn't working try using the windows explorer (i.e. "My Computer") to format the iPod and try again with another fresh start. (Right click on the iPod and click format.) If you are using a Mac, I'm not too sure what the procedure is but I imagine it should be similar.
