Question:

IPod Nano stuck on hold?

My 1st generation iPod Nano is stuck on hold. i believe the hold switch became disconnected from the actual mechanism inside in some way. I cannot reset because it is on hold and the buttons therefore don't work. I opened up the Nano to see if I could do anything, but nothing much came of that. I jiggled what I thought to be the actual hold switch which the button should have been connected to, but this didn't do anything. When I plug it into the computer it shows on hold and the rest of the nano works, it is just the hold that is messed up. Anything I can do or is this a lost cause?

  1. sometime when they freeze on hold you have to flick the hold button on and off for 30sec and then hold the play/pause and middle/select buttons. let go and repeat.

    hope it works.

  2. flick the switch the flick to off or if that doesn't work then go to the website

  4. I'd call apple tech. help and/or search Google for a place that repairs iPods.

  5. My ipod does that  too and what i have to do is just leave it on until the battery completely runs out, and then recharge it, it works
