I have an old iPod Nano (2 Gigs) and it suddenly won't sync with my iTunes. A message pops up that says "iPod cannot be synced. An unknown error has occured. (-48)" Anyone know what that means?

  1. ok    get songbird its better than itunes if that dont work call apple restore to factory settings

  2. A couple things could've happened. Your data might have gotten corrupted. (This could happen just by unplugging the hardware before ejecting it.) Or you're missing (or moved) a couple files from the computer that your iPod uses for backup and syncs with everytime it's plugged in.

The only thing that you can do is reformat it. Make sure you have backup of everything on your iPod. Plug it in and once it comes up on iTunes there's a button on the main menu that allows you to reformat. This erases everything on it. Once it's done, just put everything back on it.

  3. well exactly i don't know but where ever you bought it from  go back and they should tell u the problem

  4. re install ipod software
