Whenever i try to bring up the web browser or map, a bunch of wireless networks come up. Some of them are private and need a password but others aren't. The ones that aren't private, i touch on, but every time it says i can't join the network. Is there something i'm not doing?

  1. No, sounds like you'r doing it right, may be that the signal isn't strong enough to connect to.

  2. hey I'm sending this from my iPod touch right now. If it says it can't join that is becauseyou aren't close enough to them to access the networks. If you download quickpwn from a computer and watch tysiphonehelp's video on how to jailbreak it you can have a jailbroken iPod then go into the app called cydia and download openSSH then it will join them faster.

  3. Yeah your doing it right. Your ipod may show up connections were the signal is able to be detected, but not strong enough to form a wi- fi connect. There are plenty of public places with free wi-fi by the way, McDonalds included!
