I was installing some applications (from the AppStore) onto my iPod through iTunes and it was taking a while so i cancelled it on both my iPod and iTunes. Then I took it out my laptop and it was working fine all night. Then the next day I tried to turn it on and when it got to the startup screen (with the Apple logo) and it gets no further. So I opened up iTunes and plugges the iPod in and it crashes iTunes so i just left it and eventually it made the noises it naturally does when it turns on and unlocks, but stayed on the startup screen.

Note. I jailbroke my old iPod a lot and it messed up frequentley before it fully broke and I had to get it replaced. Therefore I havent jailbroke my new iPod Touch at all and was working fine until now. I have also tried putting it into restore and recovery mode but it just turns off and repeats its actions.

  1. Try DFU, not recovery. Its the same almost, but the screen is black.
