IPod Touch version 2.0 apps won't work?

Question

I want to play Super Monkey Ball on my iPod Touch! When I press on the app, it opens but then it goes back to the home screen! It didn't happen like that before!

Most people told me to restart my ipod or re-install the app again, but i'm afraid it will loose all my data in the Super Monkey Ball game! (I finally made it to the last stage of Super Monkey Ball)

So what should I do?

Will it loose all my data in the game? (I hope not, i worked hard getting through all those levels)

Try Syncing Your ipod with your computer and backing up the app. If that doesn't work hold the home and sleep button till your ipod turns off. Then turn it back on using the sleep button. This will not restore your ipod it just resets everything. NO DATA WILL BE LOST

happened to me just now.

i held the buton on the top until it turned a little black and it says slide to turn the power off

i slid it and turned it back on

simple.

Yeah I have the same problem but with that and the internet everything just went bad after I upgraded is there anyway to downgrade??

The same exact thing just happened to my like an hour ago. All I did was reset my iPod, and when it restarted everything was fine. (Hold down the home button and the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black).
