IPod Touch vs. Sony PSP vs. Archos 605?

Question

Which of these is the overall best for movie playback, when you factor in screen quality, battery life, storage space and price?

Note, that my question only concerns the above listed factors. I don't care about extra gizmos, bells and whistles and features. I an simply looking to buy an ultra portable movie player.

The Archos 605 is the best. The iPod touch is also a great video player. it has a great screen (produces vibrant and sharp images) it's also very thin and you'll surely love the design but that's just about it. The Archos 605 has a bigger screen, very vibrant, almost the same as the iPod and it's resolution is higher, 800X480, the Touch has 480X320. In terms of storage capacity, the archos blows away the touch. it has capacities ranging from 30 gb all the way up to 160 gb. Battery life, you'll get 5 hours out of the archos and 5 to 6 hours out of the touch, BUT the archos has a bigger screen. Overall, the Archos fits your needs and you'll love watching videos from it.



I did'nt mention the PSP and while it's a great video player, it lacks sufficient storage capacity (memory sticks are expensive!!), and the hassle of converting videos so that the psp can play it. One thing that also annoys me is the you cannot take full advantage of the resolution of the screen when playing videos from the memory stick. From what I read in some forums, it's some kind of marketing strategy, Sony did this so that people would be forced to buy UMDs and that costs more compared to ripping your DVD into your computer and then upload it to your player. Take note that there are two kinds of PSPs, the fat and the slim.
