Question:

IPod Touch vs the iPhone?

What are the differences between the iPod Touch and the iPhone other than the iPhone being a cell phone and you need to pay for most of the features. Are they using the same graphics card and all of that stuff? Will there be games only for iPhone that will be unplayable on iPod Touch other than the lack of a microphone? I want some upcoming iPhone games, but I do not want an iPhone. iPod Touch is what I want. Thanks.

  1. idk i would probably get both!!!♥♥♥

  2. ipod touch - no subscription fees attached, can have all the apps that the iPhone can with Jailbreak software

iPhone: the ipod touch and a decent phone combined in one package.. too bad the cheapest plan through AT&T is 70 bucks.. If jailbroken or if your company is willing to pay for the plan, you might be able to pay less per month but not by much

I would not buy the iPhone or iPod touch to play games.. Only buy them if you want wi-fi access on the go, a decent music player..

The chipsets they use are probably slightly different and i have heard the iPhone screen is a little better with dark colors.

iPod touch is good but try and get it refurbished from Apple ($199)

  3. well what itouch are you getting? because it comes with or without wifi. Some apps will be for the iphone only like phoneSaber. some apps will be for internet, like resturaunt locaters, so with no wifi it wont work. to be able to get even free apps there is a 10 dollar fee. If you already have a cell just get the touch theyre pretty nice to have around.

  4. Yes, the graphics on the iPod and the iPhone are the same. And you'll be able to play the same games that are available on the iPhone on your iPod Touch. You can browse these games in the App Store on iTunes, or if your iPod is updated, you can browse and download them directly from your iPod Touch.

    Hope this helped =]

  5. They're both the same. The only difference between the iPhone and iPod touch, the iphone has phone hardware in it.

Over all, they're the same device and both can be jail broken to install anything on them (eg, remove the DRM from the OS).

The ipod touch doesn't require you to pay any subscription fees (phone service, data plan, apple store) at all.
