IPod Touch won't slide to unlock?

I got a new iPod touch today and I just plugged it in and synced it. It's done syncing and it's been about 30 mins. since it's been plugged into my computer but it won't unlock. The arrow to slide isn't even black...it's grey. Is it a matter of it needs more charging or is it something bigger?? Thanks!

well if it is done syncing and the software has been installed in it then you might just need to restart it by holding the sleep button on top of the ipod until the power slider appears on the screen...if that doesnt happen...

then you need to hold the sleep and home buttons at the same time and hold them until the ipod restarts but when you see the apple logo reappear on the screen let go so you dont put your ipod into restore mode (trust me it wont hurt it if you do it right)

if none of these work then use itunes to restore your ipod to factory settings and re-sync and install the software again. if your problems consist contact the apple support center tomorrow

it might be on hold look for it, and also it might need a bit more charging
