Question:

IPod always says its charged even when not connected??

I've had this iPod for a little while now (30GB one) and recently its begun to act up. First off, my computer that I have iTunes on won't even detect my iPod when I connect it. I've charged it some with an iHome, but even after its been on for a while, it still says its fully charged. There's always a plug over the battery symbol even when its not connected to anything. I tried resetting it but it wouldn't even do that. I have it turned off now, but it still has the battery icon with a plug and says Charged at the top.

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this...and what they might have done about it. If it really is broken, it's gonna cost a lot to repair because it's really my friend's iPod since we traded iPods, and I don't have a warranty on it...
