IPod jailbreaking software and 2.0.1 software illegal?

Hi, I have a question about selling an iPod touch on eBay. I want to include the jailbreaking software and the newest version of apple's software, which is 2.0.1 ON A CD, but I was wondering if that is illegal. I thought it can make the value go higher. Should I not include it? Should I jailbreak it myself and sell it?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

No, that is illegal.  Do not include it.  Also, the 2.0 software is only 9.99 so they can just buy it themselves and the 2.0.1 update is free, so I don't think you should include it.  The value wouldn't go higher.  I would suggest not jailbreaking it, because most people would want a Non-Hacked iPod.  Just restore it, and sell it.  You will get a lot more offers that way, because it's like it's brand new.  I hope this helps.  :)

Sorry no offense but you are exactly the type of people that I detest and look at in disgust! You want to know why? Ok, let's take a look at your question --- in the first part, you said that you're intending to sell your iTouch on Ebay, well, so far so good, nothing wrong with selling iTouches...Ok, next, you said that you wanted to include the jailbreaking software and firmware 2.0.1. This is the part that makes me sick and makes me feel like slapping you! Firstly, YOU DID NOT MAKE THE JAILBREAKING SOFTWARE, PWNAGE TOOL! YOU HAV NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER TO SELL IT AS IT IS NOT OF YOUR CREATION! There, let that off my chest! Ok, sorry of I sounded offensive just now but I had to so that you could understand. The Pwnage Tool is made by the DevTeam and they distributed it for free. If you sell it, it means that you're claiming it as your own work and that is a book-written copyright infringement! So basically, you ahve no right whatsoever to "sell" or even include Pwnage Tool. That just makes you a douche and a loser worthy of **** in my, and the jailbreaking community's, eyes!

As for the firmware, I couldn't care less cause it was Apple's own fault that it got leaked in the first place. But be aware that it is illegal and you have a rather good chance of getting into trouble for it.
