Question:

IPod nano problems, dont know what to do :(

arghh i hate this! it says that my iPod has 3.3 GB free only even though it is an 8 GB iPod and i don't have any songs on it :S i've tried resetting it but it still says i have less than half of the memory full :( have you had the same problem? what did you do? =/

  1. There are other things on the iPod that are taking up space, mostly pre-loads such as the games and default playlists. Also, if you choose to apply album artwork, it takes up even more space. You lose space on all iPods, but it can be comparatively worse on smaller iPods, since they have less space to begin with. I lost about 3 GB on my 30 GB and 6 GB on my new 80 GB.

    There&#039;s not much that you can do about the lost space. Apple designates GB amount by the size of the drive when installed, not after they&#039;ve added the preloads.


  2. Go to apple.com/ipod and send in a report of what&#039;s happening.

    They should set you straight.

    But make sure there aren&#039;t any movies, pictures, or extra games on there sucking up the memory.
