IPod nano skipping song?

On my OneRepublic CD, it plays the first 8 seconds of track five, then just goes to the next track...

...but if I fast forward through the begining, it'll keep playing.

Anything you know that would cause this?

The track is corrupt, meaning the file is broken. It's just broken in one spot, so when the iPod goes "HUH?" it skips, but if you fast forward you might pass right over it without the iPod looking at it.

How to fix it? Presumably if you still have the CD, then delete the old file then sync your iPod. Now tell iTunes (or your other media program) to make a new music file for you, just like you did when you first got the files. Then tell iTunes to sync again and the old broken file will get replaced,
