Question:

IPod or Zune? iPod help?!

I have a 2nd generation iPod Nano, and I've had it for about a year and a half. In the last week, I've just been getting a blank white screen with the a few lines that move around. Usually after a few minutes it goes back to normal, but today it's stayed blank for a little too long. I tried restoring it, but it's still blank.

Now I'm starting to think of just buying a Zune instead. I like how with Zune you can pay about $15 a month for unlimited downloads, but I really don't want to have to redownload all of my music! Plus most of my music isn't on iTunes or the Zune store, and I really don't feel like trying to find it all again. Should I just buy another iPod and keep all of my music? Or should I buy a Zune for a better deal?

  1. I'd get and ipod why start over

  2. Okay, I switched from the Ipod to a Zune and have no regrets.  The way I transferred music over was by burning cds from Itunes and putting them onto the Zune. I actually deleted Itunes and glad that mess is over.

Dont get an Ipod, since they're 'in' apple has been making them crappier and crappier while making them look hot.

Now I want to correct a previous answer who said that songs are 79 cents. Thats WRONG! Its 79 points = 99 cents (if you have a xbox the points/account is the same).

Let me put it to u like this I have had no problems w/my zune and I've had 2 months my bff got hers the same time and had to go back and exchange her new Ipod nano.

I prefer the zune's software overall but if u have an apple computer the zune wont work.

If you really dont want to re-load or buy ur music again get the Itouch its the only thing apple has done correctly but beware: certain updates they'll charge u for.

(Go w/ the Zune, maybe APPLE will get the hint and bring back a decent product, and google Apple battery lawsuits, they just settled with Canada for a bad product..)

  3. get a zune. the songs r only 79 cents. the videos r like 8 dollars and even though zune doesnt have like alot of vides and stuff or games (no games) its way better. you can get videos from youtube and put them on there and you can also get songs from youtube on there (have to convert the videos into songs for that) email me or im for details on the "converting" part cuz its kinda long but it works

  4. get another iPod.

If you don't have a lot of songs and you dont really care about battery life, get the ipod touch.  I have it, and it's pretty cool.  I also have a 30gig classic and i like it.

iPod are a rip off for how much the songs cost, but you don't have to use iTunes wink wink

  5. Umm... can you buy BOTH? lol =D

    jk

    but I'll choose iPod

  6. I like the Zune better because i can connect it to my 360. the zune doesn't have as many songs to select from has the ipods i tunes and i dont know if the zune has games. ive had a ipod and a zune i like the zune better. the zune has a bigger screen.

if u want to keep all of ur songs then u should get a new ipod. if u get the zune u can get all of ur old songs on the zune then u can get the 15$ a month music card and u can get new songs with it.
