IPod touch won't STAY off!?

Question

my iPod touch wont turn off. I get the slide to turns it off ... it turns off but then the apple appears and turns on ???? I bought this on eBay so I can't just go to a store.

one see if the alarm is set to go off.

Try push and hold the middle button and push menu.

if that does't work connect your ipod to itunes and repeat that move

doing this with the ipod connect to the computer will restore the ipod and delete all the songs one it. then just sync it up again.

If the problem persists, try the following:

1. Plug the iPod into iTunes.  As soon as it appears in the Devices column, click it.  On this screen you should see a picture of the device in the upper right corner of the screen.  In about the center of the screen there will be an option that says "Restore".  Click this.

Essentially what this does is wipe your hard drive clean and put everything back on.  So long as all the music you have is on iTunes, it'll restore just as it was before.

2. If that doesn't work, then let the battery drain entirely.  Play it night and day until it shuts off and won't turn back on.  Then recharge it.  

If neither of these suggestions work, then there's something wrong with it that you can't fix.

usually this happens to an ipod whenever the ipod has some minor damages or fell to the hard ground once or twice. since u got it on ebay maybe the previous owner has done something(s) to it....hmmmm....
