IPod video problems?

Everytime I try to put a video or a TV show into my ipod it says a message.I currently tried with a family guy episode called Saving Private Brian.

The message say "Saving private brian was not copied to the ipod because it could not be played on this ipod."

What wrong?

needs to be .mp4, if it already is then prosocute apple for being the worse company on earth!!! we aready know theay are but your story would be added to the list of random, pointless errors.

Check to verify that it is in the right format. iPod videos only accept the mpeg4 video format.
