IQ tests!?

Question

Does anyone else think that IQ tests are....wrong?? They always have questions about math, and geology, and all this stuff you learn in school!! I think that IQ tests should be something that a 10 year old should be able to take, and see their real IQ, a ten year old is not going to know this math stuff, and they're not going to know where some funny names place is on a map! Does anyone else think that IQ tests should be changed!? (The kidn you take on-line or you buy at a store...I dont know about real ones?)

You have obviously have not taken nor seen a legitimate IQ test like the Wechsler  (which, BTW, has a IQ test normed for children) or you would not asking questions like these.

no those aren't real iq tests, those are just ones for fun. real iq tests are patterns and stuff that little kids can do too. and kids are definitely supposed to take iq tests! the whole premise of iq tests is so people's iqs will never change from child to adult.

IQ tests are not very useful. You are better off doing the tests in 'accelerated learning for the 21c' by Colin Rose. This will give you the tools to boost your educational ability.

real iq tests are something that a ten year old can take, in fact, many kids take iq tests when their in elementary school. A real iq test is designed that if you take it when you 10, and then when you 30, the scores will be about the same. ones online are bs. they're basically a useless quiz

Out intelligence increases as we age, so even if a 10 year old got an IQ test, i wouldnt mean too much to them anyway.

OMG I agree. I took one, and had to say that I was 18.  I think I got a bad score...grrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!

There are a lot of different kinds of IQ tests, that test your IQ on different subjects. The ones that you find on the internet are almost never legitimate, and the ones that you buy in stores still may not test your full IQ. Especially if the tests have school subjects on them, because they don't test your Intelligence Quotient, just how much you study in school. Real IQ tests are hard to come by.

Intelligence Quotient tests aren't meant to be taken by children. They are meant to be used for adults.
