IR filter 5mw green laser?

I have a 5mw green laser and I want to know what does an IR filter do and where can I get one or how can I make one.

IR filter is used for filte the other wave length light.

if u add a IR filter in your green laser pointer, the beam will be more bright. But the power of the laser will reduce to 70%.
