IRCTC Refund yet ticket is not cancelled?

I have purchased e-tickets and i-tickets in Mar-08 to travel in May-08. Now I got IRCTC refund mentioning some 'PRN' no (Not the PNR) eventhogh I have not cancelled any ticket ? Why is that so? What is this PRN number ?

As you said that u havn't cancelled the tkt but it seems that you might hav got it cancelled by mistake or so. Because when you cancel the tkt, the railway system generate another tkt with new PNR number. To verify this...may be you can check the status of your previous tkt with the PNR number.

this problem come only while booking the ticket you may not got the confirmation at the first try you may be again try to book the ticket but the first time payment have been credited from your credit card . for further check your credit card statement the irctc may have debited 2 times. so they give credit back.
