I have been reading through all the info and some people are saying that even though the notice from the IRS says we should receive it on July 11, that it really means it was sent July 11... is this true? Last 2 digits are 98. Also, how long will it take once it was sent out? I live in southern Illinois, get mail through St. Louis, MO. I absolutely need this check. Some also say that you will only get it on certain days.. is this true? I am very worried. Please help! Thanks!

  1. I would watch for it Monday.  The checks were sent out yesterday, I got mine today.  Average shipping time from St. Louis to, say, Chicago would be two days, which would put you at a Monday date.  The IRS worded the letter, phone hotline, and website all differently to basically cover any delays.  There is no set day the you can receive it on, it's just in the hands of the postman now.

  2. Yours goes out on July 11th and it could take up to 2 weeks. My supposely went out on July 4th according to the site and its been a week and i still dont have it. Give it time

  3. No, they run a week late.

  4. If You get lucky it may arrive in September or October. You can use it for holiday presents. I'd say Christmas but that is not politically correct. My check was due June 20 and has not arrived yet. The letter said allow 4 to 6 weeks for delivery.  Guess they mailed it pony express.
