I have posted on here before regarding the same question however I still have not received my check. Please do not post the schedule or website again, both say it was to be sent by the 11th. I didn't get any mail today and EVERYONE I know has already received theirs this week. Last 2 digits are 88 and theirs are 91 and higher. What's the deal? Has anyone not received theirs yet either? I haven't even got a letter telling me how much I was going to get. But website tells me I'm getting 1800.00. Please help!

  1. If the check was to be mailed by the 11th and today is the 11th, why are expecting it to arrive on the same day it was mailed??

  2. It all up to your local post office to deliver your check.

Hope you didn't make your postman/woman mad and they are holding it. (lol)

Be patient you will have it before you know.

It FREE money and it sure is making people frustrated and angry, I wonder what it would be like if you owed and IRS want their money like yesterday.

  3. Mine was scheduled for 7/11 as well. The problem is that the wording on the letter you received is wrong. The letter says that you should receive it BY 7/11. In truth, it should have said that it would be mailed ON 7/11 or sooner. They likely mailed our checks out today. Depending upon how far away you live from your nearest Treasury office, it could take 1 - 3 mailing days.

By the way, here is a checklist to go through to make sure you are getting a check:

    1) Check the IRS website to make sure you even qualify for a check. Use the stimulus calculator to see an estimate of your benefits.

    2) Check the "Where's my Rebate" feature on the IRS website. Make sure it says you are scheduled to get a check.

    3) Make sure you have no attachments to your check. If you owe back taxes, student loans, or child support, they could take out all or part of your rebate. You can find out if you have any debts deducted from your rebate by calling 1-800-304-3107.

If everything checks out and you still don't receive your check shortly after the scheduled mailing date, it is likely that something is wrong. Maybe you moved, maybe it was mis-delivered, etc. Unfortunately, you will need to wait six weeks after your scheduled mailing date to request a new check.

  4. Hmm...to get 1800, you would have to be married with 2 kids, or unmarried with 4 kids.

Did you file through "Tax act"?

They are considered a 3rd party, and you will get a paper check.

  5. Note that it will take the Postal Service a few days to deliver it after it is mailed, so if it is mailed according to the IRS schedule on 7/11, you may not get it until early in the week of 7/14.

  6. I am just amazed at how impatient people are.  Your check is either at the post office waiting to be delivered, Mis-sent to a different state or country (it happens), Shredded by one of the machines and is sitting in the nixie department (you will get it in a baggie if they can still read the address), There was a problem with your tax return and some items must be cleared up before you get your stimulus, You owe back taxes and your stimulus was applied to that, A neighbor stole your stimulus check and cashed it.

I'm sure I've named enough things so you can pick one as your issue.

Give them 2-3 more weeks and then submit an inquiry.

  7. Yup, I am in the same frustrating boat.. I haven't recieved ANYTHING about mine... NADA!! It bugs.

  8. At this point there is clearly something wrong.  You should confirm that you filed and the IRS acknowledged your return.  Did you have $3,000 or more in qualifying income?  Due you owe the government any money?  Have you changed you address since you filed the return?  Did you file in time for the return to be "processed" by April 15th?

If you are confident that you should have gotten the rebate after researching those questions you have little choice but to wait to call after Aug. 8th.

  9. Assuming that there wasn't an error in processing, you have not moved, and that they actually mailed your check.  You must wait 4 weeks after the date IRS sent your check, if you still haven't received it you must submit form 3911 (Taxpayers statement of refund not received, stolen, or lost) it will take another 6 weeks to process.

If you are not happy with the answer you get from toll free, visit the closest IRS office in person.  If you are suffering economic harm or about to suffer it, you can contact the Taxpayer Advocate Office to expedite your refund.

Keep in mind that the stimulus has doubled IRS's work load with no increase in funding for new employees or over time, try to be patient.

  10. guys they just mailed it out today wait for atleast 3 days.....

  11. Mine came on a Monday when it was suppose to come on the previous Saturday.  I had a workmate where his showed up on a later date too.

  12. You might need to call the IRS and find out what happened. I heard some checks did not arrive at their destinations.
