  1. In numbers yes, in engines no.

  2. In elementary terms: divide 115 by 5 and get 23 with NO REMAINDER.  Its the "no remainder" part that makes it a multiple.

  3. Since this is the boating section:

    115 is not a multiple of five. In order to equal a single 115 hp outboard engine, you'd have to have twenty-three 5hp outboards. The weight of these engines would absolutely overwhelm the craft. There for 115 is not a multiple of 5.

    For the same reason, a 250 is not a multiple of 125, nor is a 300 a multiple of 150.

  4. Yes because if 115 is a multiple then there integer exists an x such that

    5x=115

    x=23

  5. Every whole number (except for zero) that ends with either a zero or five is a multiple of five.

    1x5=5

    2x5=10

    3x5=15

    4x5=20

    See the pattern?

    23x5=115
