  1. It is good to have 600 a month in Rome. Rome is not so expensive like London for a star bus and tube are cheap and a pizza and drink in a pizzeria is about 15 euro.

  2. yup, for entertainment and you spend wisely, it is enuf 4 u!

  3. only if you live with mamma!

  4. no!!! it's not enough!!!

600 euros can maybe be enough for a little flat...

    but you'll need to live...

  5. Lucky you that you don't have to pay for rent or bills.... 600€ should be enough for a month if you know how to manage them well.  Having fun in Rome does cost.

  6. It depends on your lifestyle there. If you go to the top places, it may last you a week. But to live like  local, perhaps. Are you a student or a visitor? Quick rule of thumb anywhere you go, look at the wages for a Taxi driver and a nurse. They seem to be able to buy the same amount of cups of coffee or bottles of beer in their own town, wherever they are!

  7. if you have 1200 € a month you are poor...

  8. Yes, 600euro is enough!

  9. It depends on how you budget your money. Low Budget for meal is €5-10. A number of basic things are reasonably inexpensive: a pizza or plate of pasta with a beer (the staple cheap meal in a restaurant) will set you back between £5/$8 and £10/$16 on average, though in some of the larger, more visited cities - Florence and Venice, for example - it can be difficult to find appealing venues in this price range; Rome and Naples, on the other hand, are no problem. Buses and trains are cheap too: the rail journey from Rome to Milan on an Intercity train, for instance, costing just £46/$74 for a second-class return - a five-and-a-half-hour, six-hundred-kilometre trip. Drinking , by contrast, is pricey - unless you stick to wine. Soft drinks and coffee cost around the same as in Britain and more than in North America; a large glass of beer can cost up to £3/$5 if you decide to sit down. Overall, in central Italy, if you're watching your budget - camping, buying food from shops and markets - you could get by on around £25/$40 a day; a more realistic average daily budget - staying in one-star hotels, taking trains and eating one cheap meal out a day - would be approaching £40/$64, perhaps a little less in the south; while to live reasonably well you probably need to spend at least £50/$80 a day.Bear in mind, too, that the time of year can make a big difference. Apart from state museums and sites, which are free to under-18s and over 65s, and half price to people under 26, there are few reductions or discounts: only a handful of museums accept ISIC cards, and buses and trains never do. <*-*>

  10. Thats about £100 a week.....Not enough for coffee in Rome....move to a tiny hilltop village somewhere in the south...will be able to live there.

  11. Yes, 600euro a month is enough for food, drink and entertainment. I'm from Rome, I live in Trastevere.

    Ciao

  12. Hallo,I'm italian and live  near Milano.So...3weeks ago I was in Rome for 2 days for ask new passport for my wife (Thailand) In Ambassy................ok? well I buy for hotel € 100 for night ,for   eating  the price start to € 12/15  to €20,00 for a good dishes!!!!!!!!!I rebember in railstation Termini (Into on the  Right  a steak house  with very good meat abd is very cheeper.I think if you rent a bedroom  good price  is possible too.Bye bye.Sorry for my bad english.lol

  13. If rent and utilities are covered (including telephone & transportation - metro and or bus) the 600 is enough to live on. Budget yourself well, buy fresh fruit & veggies at the market and your canned stuffs at the discount food stores. There is plenty of free things to see and do in Rome - take advantage of this.

Dont buy ciggarretts - this vice will cut into your budget like a hot knife through butter.
