  1. I'd say yes.  I don't use mine often, but it is quick and meat especiallyturns out really tender.  I just made about 30 pounds of pulled pork bbq in mine and also recently about 25 pounds of beef for beef and noodles.  Way quicker than the oven or just stove top cooking.

  2. i have no idea. BUT.. i know it's good for FRYING CHICKEN to make 'em crisssspy! (:

  3. Economical  =  Cheep ????

not as cheep as a gas BBQ..

You want shredded roast meat the that's the way to go

the concept is fast high temperature to cook.

but you need the steam to get there so you still boil water .

Being single I fail to see any advantage..(for me)

    but I have one..

  4. I dont know about cheap but its very fast and makes food very good.

  5. I say yes because it is efficient when it comes to using heat to cook. It uses less gas than other methods because it cooks food in the shortest period of time.

  6. The rule of thumb for cooking times in a pressure cooker is 1/3 the time of regular stovetop recipes. So you reduce the cooking time by about 70%. Whatever type of cooking fuel you have, this is a clear money saver.

Additionally, by using a pressure cooker, you will not heat up the house like an oven does, again saving money by not having to use air conditioning as much in warmer weather.

It also saves you money at the supermarket because you can buy longer cooking, and less expensive foods like dried beans and cook them in only 15 minutes vs 2+ hours. Also buy the tough but cheaper cuts of meat like a flavorful brisket, and have it fork-tender in 45 minutes rather than 3 hours.
