  1. Olive oil is good to fry foods in but you still don't want to eat fried stuff everyday.  Deli meat is very unhealthy.  It is processed and full of preservatives and by-products.  Nasty stuff...though I must admit to eating them every once in awhile.

  2. Once you heat the oil, it changes the chemistry, and therefore it becomes unhealthy no matter if you use the best, raw virgin olive oil or just canola oil.

Heating the oil to those temps removes the health benefits.

Oh, and deli meat is not good for you. It has alot of chemicals and preservatives added.

But the kind you get fresh cut is better than what they sell pre-packaged.

  3. Not sure what that has to do with deli meat, but olive oil has good fats in it yes, but just like anything you need to have it in moderation.  It's better than most other oils and fats, but still not healthy to go overboard on.

  4. Heating any kind of oil renders it less healthy. That's why cold-pressed olive oil is considered good.

Deli meats are full of chemicals and salt.

  5. Ever see how they make hotdogs out of lung lining, etc.  I don't think olives exist naturally in a compressed cube of God knows what for Olive Loaf.

Good delis, even real Italian ones, are all bad for you because of the amount of salt and saturated fats in their products. oink, oink, oink...

  6. Why do you think they sell it in the deli? If it were bad would they sell it? Get real.
