Check with Small Business Administration,and SCORE(Service Core Of Retired Executives).

No one is going to finance a demo record and the marketing involved in getting it to producers except an overly doting mom who has several thousand bucks to burn.  There are no "grants" -- only companies who make money selling fantasies.  You will have to work your day job and pay for your demo out of your savings.

The companies that are telling you how easy it is are just trying to sell you a crappy book or CD.

Grants are usually given to non-profit organizations, not individuals, so getting one to get an album out will be next to impossible.

The companies that swear there are grants for everything are the only ones who make money, not you.  They get you to pay them, and then don't give a refund.
